How Basemaps.net matches your Harley tune
You searched for the tune. JCES™ (J-Code Evaluation System) is why Basemaps.net can intelligently help you find the right one.
Find My Tune See Available Tunes
Rather than making you guess which file fits your motorcycle, JCES evaluates your bike, Power Vision / PV3 / PV4 tuner, and installed components against available Precision Basemaps.
What JCES does
- Confirms the motorcycle from your VIN
- Uses the tuner you own so you get a .pvt or .djt that will load
- Takes the parts you actually installed — cam, exhaust, intake, injectors
- Shows Precision Basemaps available for that combination
What JCES is not
Not phone support. Not a rewrite after you change cams next month. Not GIS. JCES does not replace a professional dyno tune. The matched Precision Basemap must be dyno tuned for best results. If you want a person and a dyno, use the locator after you have the file — or let the shop run Find My Tune with you.

Where every Precision Basemap comes from
Every Precision Basemap on Basemaps.net was created from a real dyno session by Matt Smith, owner and architect of Basemaps.net — not generated, simulated, or otherwise made artificially. He built this catalog to help the entire tuning industry share those files.
Each file is sold as it was the day it was created, for the exact combination of parts on the motorcycle in that session — the real deal, nothing turned down. Before a file is offered for sale it passes several quality checks in our system. The catalog operating system applies the same matching rules to every published file so the same VIN, tuner, and parts combination is evaluated the same way. The file must still be dyno tuned for best results.
If you have a concern — or want to give praise
After you buy and download, open your account. Each purchase has Leave Feedback. Use it to rate the Precision Basemap, note a concern, or say what went well. That form is for quality review. It is not phone support and does not open a ticket.
If Find My Tune has no file yet
When the catalog has no match for your bike and parts, you can join the Precision Basemap Waitlist on that empty-results screen. Leave your email and the combination you searched. We email a purchase link when that file is published. That is not a custom map emailed instead of a catalog file, and it is not offered for platforms we do not sell (Sportster and V-Rod).
